If you are looking for “something different to do” in the Boston area, Collectibles Extravaganza brings you a mix of cosplay and karaoke: Cosplay Karaoke with legendary rocker Cowboy Mach Bell.
Do you consider yourself an avid singer? Are you destined for the stage, to sing with a celebrity rock star? Here is your chance! One of New England’s Legendary rocker stars, Mach is hosting our very own version of karaoke with a twist, come in costume to get your free admission to the show! Pump out your favorite tunes with friends, family and Mach himself on Friday July 1st at 7:00 pm.
You can sing to your heart’s desire here knowing that it’s a judgment-free zone! The Collectibles Extravaganza Cosplay Karaoke is a family friendly event. All costumes must be family friendly (within reason). Any cosplayer with outfits deemed inappropriate will be asked to leave. Mach Bell made his bones fronting the hard-rock, proto-punk group Thundertrain. Appearing in 1977 on both the “Live at the Rat” album and the Thundertrain debut LP. Best known for their 1976 single “Hot For Teacher,” Thundertrain were regular headliners at Max’s Kansas City, The Club in Cambridge, CBGB’s, Paradise Theater, Cleveland Agora, and of course the Rat in Kenmore Square. In 1982 Aerosmith lead guitarist-in-exile Joe Perry needed a new lead singer for his Joe Perry Project. Mach (who Joe always calls “Cowboy”) was selected for the job. Cowboy and Perry toured far & wide in the early 80’s. They co-wrote seven of the original songs on the 1983 Joe Perry Project album Once a Rocker Always a Rocker (MCA/Geffen).
Mach Bell will be at the Collectibles Extravaganza all weekend July 1-3, signing autographs, meeting fans and making friends, taking pics and autographing books, records, posters etc. from his rock groups Thundertrain, Last Man Standing, Mach 5 & the Joe Perry Project !
