Liz Borden with special guest appearances - April 8-10, 2022 show

Lizzie Borden is the name of the band’s frontwoman-bass player. Liz Borden has been playing in clubs since she was a teen. Prior to being of legal age for clubs, she played as a guitarist in various punk bands. Through her friendship with Joan Jett, she helped get her an early gig at the Rat in Kenmore Square in the early 1980s. A guitarist named Rita Lavacchia met Lizzie there, and soon he switched to bass, Lavacchia switched to guitar, Cyndie Barone switched to drums, and singer Daria Smith, who was chosen partly for her two-tone black and blonde hair, filled out the lineup. As a quartet, Lizzie Borden & the Axes played at Cantones, The Rat, and The Space before bringing in keyboardist Kathy Perry. Smith subsequently left and Rice took her place at the microphone.

Appearing with special guests Rita Lavacchia, Heather Fahey, and Lisa Addario From Lizzie Borden and the Axes will be appearing to sign autographs, and talk music with fans and friends.

Her first two gigs were at The RAT in Boston and CBGB’s in NYC. Liz played in punk bands until she formed the band LIZZIE BORDEN & The AXES with Rita Lavacchia, after they met at The Rat. Soon it was Borden switching from guitar to bass, Rita Lavacchia on guitar, Cyndie Barone on drums, adding Kathy Perry on Keyboards and singer Heather Fahey on vocals. Guitar player Lisa Addario eventually joined the band on guitar.

Borden is a musician, singer, songwriter, producer, photographer, artist, and writer, with a melodic feel and a love of vocal harmonies. Add a dose rock and a punch of attitude and you have Liz Borden songs. Playing cover and original songs, some even crossing the Mason-Dixie line. Liz has four books available on Amazon. Appearing all weekend Friday 4-8 pm, Sat. 10-6, Sun. 10am-3:30 pm

They will be signing autographs, offering photoOps, selling limited edition merchandise and collectibles along side other musical celebrities including Cherie Currie which is very exciting because they just released a song along with a video written by Cherie Currie.
